Medicare, Medicaid, and ERISA: A Practitioner's Overview of Healthcare Liens

Attorneys working on personal injury cases must take Medicare, Medicaid, and ERISA into account.  This CLE will review the lien rights of Medicare under the Medicare Secondary Payer Act and the enhancement of Medicare's collection efforts under the Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP Extension Act of 2007.  ERISA liens and Medicaid subrogation issues will also be discussed.  This CLE will help practitioners in this area ensure compliance with new mandatory Medicare reporting requirements and other aspects of Medicare, Medicaid, and ERISA.
